Obtaining a D visa

Step 1: Initial consultation

Step 2: Collect documents

You arrive in Spain with a visa D. Go through migration control. You are registered as a resident.

Step 7: Registration of a residence permit

Contact the local migration department. Apply for a residence card (TIE).

Step 8: Getting a Resident Card

You receive a residence card (TIE) valid for 3 years. This is your official status as a resident of Spain.
