Ditital Nomad is a 1-year residence permit in Bulgaria specially designed for freelancers and remote workers. If you work remotely for a foreign company or have your own online business, you can obtain a residence permit in Bulgaria, you do not need a Bulgarian company or complicated grounds.
It is a great solution for digital nomads who want to live legally in Bulgaria, enjoy an affordable cost of living, good weather, and all the convenience of a European country. The visa gives the right to live, work remotely and officially pay taxes in Bulgaria.
The process of obtaining is fast - on average 3-4 weeks. The main requirement is to confirm a stable foreign income. After obtaining a residence permit, you can renew it annually or switch to permanent status after 5 years.

Requirements for obtaining a residence permit
Foreign income
Minimum ~1000 EUR per month. Confirmed by bank statements for 3 months.
Bank account
An account to which foreign income is received. The statement should show regular receipts.
Place of residence in Bulgaria
Apartment lease agreement or ownership of real estate in Bulgaria. Registration address.
Health Insurance
A policy valid throughout Bulgaria with coverage of at least 30,000 EUR.
Passport
A valid passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of submission.
Criminal record certificate
An extract from the police of your country confirming the absence of a criminal record. With an apostille.
