Under pressure from Bulgarian state regulators represented by the Commission for Consumer Protection (Commission for Consumer Protection – KZP) and the Commission for the Regulation of Communications (Commission for Communication Regulation – REDC), three national Internet and mobile providers have already agreed to unify the cost of early termination of contracts for the provision of their services. Limiting it to the size of the three-month subscription fee.  This was announced on September 1, 2017 by the chairman of the KRS Veselin Bozhkov.

According to the head of the FDC, the regulators managed to convince two operators earlier (since May 2015, the rule was introduced by Vivacom, since July 2016 by Mobiltel), the third (Telenor) gave its consent only the other day. The company undertook to introduce the norm in practice in the next two months. Until this moment, subscribers who decide to terminate the contract early will be required to reimburse the entire amount for the remaining period of the contract.

Mr. Bozhkov also noted that coverage remains a serious problem in the work of companies providing telecom services in Bulgaria. In order to improve the quality of communication, it is planned to install eight additional stations in Varna and four more in the region.
