It is no coincidence that Bulgaria is positioned as a country for children's recreation. There are all conditions in order to have a great time with the whole family. Let's consider the main advantages of such a vacation.

Sea and beaches

Although the Black Sea is not as warm as, say, the Red Sea, it is fraught with much fewer dangers. There are no bloodthirsty sharks, spiny corals and poisonous creatures. You should only be afraid of sea dragons, but these fish are extremely rare.
Since the weather in summer is usually good, there are almost no storms. "Dead" currents are found, as in other seas, but they can be seen from the shore and not take risks.

As for the beaches as such, there is nothing to complain about. Only in some places there is a rocky bottom or pebbles, while the lion's share of the beaches is sand. In the south, near Burgas, it has a grayish tint, on the northern coast – golden.Heavy gray sands have a serious advantage – suspension in the water is poorly formed, so the sea is almost always clean and transparent.
The entrance to the sea in most resorts is very gentle, which is perfect for small children.

Nutrition

It is not difficult to feed a child in Bulgaria. There are many fruits and quality dairy products. Kids are happy to eat Bulgarian jelly mlyako, often preferring it to the usual yogurts. Children's menus are available in almost every restaurant. Adult food is also suitable: Bulgarians use peppers very moderately, dishes are not spicy. The main cooking methods – stewing in ceramic dishes or grilling – are quite consistent with the ideas of a healthy kitchen.

In the resort shops, there is a huge assortment of familiar and familiar products – from cottage cheese and ice cream to Borodino bread and gingerbread.

Entertainment

In Bulgarian resorts, children are offered all the standard entertainment – sports and playgrounds, cars, carriage rides, slides and trampolines, water attractions and much more. There are several large water parks on the coast – in Sunny Beach, Ravda and Pomorie, in Albena and Golden Sands. Small complexes with water slides are also available at many large hotels.
It should be noted that in Bulgaria children are treated very well – including foreign ones. So compliments, small gifts for kids, special discounts or some other bonuses are quite common.
Bulgarian tourist offices offer a variety of excursions throughout the country. Such trips can be interesting not only for adults, but also for schoolchildren.

Medical care

There are small clinics in almost every large resort, first-aid posts are often at hotels. If hospitalization is required, then hospitals should be looked for in seaside cities that operate all year round – first of all, these are Varna and Burgas.

Since in the summer in Bulgaria foreigners often suffer from rotavirus infection, which is especially dangerous for babies, you should take medicines with you. Bulgarian pharmacies have everything you need, but it is better to have medicines at hand for the first time. In the first aid kit, it is worth putting drugs for diarrhea and fever, as well as a plaster, bandages, sunburn and allergy remedies.

Accommodation

Bulgaria offers various accommodation options – there are large all-inclusive hotels, small family hotels, and apartments for rent.

The latter option is well suited for large families, as well as if the children are still very young or adhere to some kind of special diet.
AllInclusive hotels are a good choice for families with preschool and school-age children. The fulfillment of many children's desires is already included in the price, so on vacation you don't have to worry that at some point the budget simply will not withstand the whims of the younger generation.
Small family hotels are an intermediate option. Such hotels usually offer only breakfast, and lunch and dinner can be served elsewhere. The cost of such places of recreation is usually quite affordable.

Documents

Russian citizens need a Bulgarian visa to visit Bulgaria. Its short-term version (type C) gives the right to stay in the country for 90 days every six months. The processing time takes 3-4 working days. You can also use a valid Schengen visa.
The consular fee for a regular visa is 35 euros, for an urgent visa – 70 euros. The service fee is 19 euros in both cases. Children under 6 years of age are exempt from paying fees.

Citizens of Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia who have biometric passports can visit Bulgaria without a visa. The period of stay in this case is also limited to 90 days within a 180-day period. Holders of ordinary passports must apply for a visa.
