Making a purchase

When buying real estate, be prepared to pay a local (community) tax for it, a notary fee for registration, a fee for entering the property in the register. The amount of these payments depends on the value of the purchased property specified in the notarial deed. Property maintenance

After the purchase, it is necessary to pay a community property tax and a fee for garbage (household waste) collection every year. The amount of these payments depends on the cost of your apartment (house), as well as on the region. Real estate tax can range from 0.1% to 0.45% of the tax value of real estate. The fee for garbage collection is also determined by the Regional Administration, usually it averages 0.1%. These payments can be paid immediately for a year or in installments. If you pay before April 30, the amount is reduced by 5%.

Other payments

There is no rent as such in Bulgaria. Residents of the complexes annually pay a support fee, the amount of which is determined by the Management Company. This money is used to improve common areas and take care of them. In ordinary houses, there is no support fee.Owners pay every month for electricity, water, gas and heating – in houses where such amenities are provided. Internet and telephone are also paid for independently.
