The "X" hour for the renewal of a residence permit in Bulgaria is coming.
August 13, 2020 is the deadline for submitting documents for the extension of a residence permit!!
On March 24, 2020, in the official publication of the Republic of Bulgaria in "Darzhaven Vestnik" Decree No71 was published in issue 28, which amended and supplemented the Law on Measures and Actions in a State of Emergency.
The Law on Measures and Actions in the Conditions of the State of Emergency entered into force and amended the Law on Foreigners in Bulgaria.
§ 11.B of the Law on Foreigners in the Republic of Bulgaria (Obn., DV, br. 153 of 1998; amended, br. 70 of 1999, b. 42 and 112 of 2001, b. 45 and 54 of 2002, b. 37 and 103 of 2003, b. 37 and 70 of 2004, b. 11, 63 and 88 of 2005, br. 30 and 82 of 2006, br. 11, 29, 52, 63 and 109 of 2007, br. 13, 26, 28 and 69 of 2008, br. 12, 32, 36, 74, 82, 93 and 103 of 2009, br. 73 of 2010, br. 9 and 43 of 2011, br. 21 and 44 of 2012, br. 16, 23, 52, 68, 70 and 108 of 2013, br. 53 of 2014, br. 14, 79 and 80 of 2015, br. 15, 33, 97, 101 and 103 of 2016, br. 97 of 2017, br. 14, 24, 56 and 77 of 2018, br. 1, 24, 34, 58 and 101 of 2019 and br. 17 of 2020) Here are the following additions:
1. In Member. 24 se sýzdava al. 13:

2. In Member. 40, al. 1, vol. 6 the trace is thinking "in the case of" by adding "the position is declared or on", and the next is "13 and 16;" by adding "for the period on the situation is not considered to be the property of the foreigner, received permission for the long-term or constantly interrupted, from the territory on the dúrzhavite – members for the European union, for the period from the 12th consecutive month;".
A foreigner with a permitted long-term stay in the Republic of Bulgaria, whose period of stay expires during the declared state of emergency, may apply for the extension of a residence permit within 14 days after the lifting of the declared state of emergency, while the period of the declared state of emergency will not be considered an interruption when considering applications for long-term or permanent residence. A foreigner holding a residence permit in Bulgaria whose permit expires during the declared state of emergency may enter the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria without a visa within 14 days after the lifting of the state of emergency.
What is the situation provided by law for the extension of a residence permit/permanent residence permit in Bulgaria?
The Act stipulates that a foreigner who has been granted a long-term or permanent residence permit and has been absent from the territory of the Member States of the European Union for 12 consecutive months, except in cases of declaration of a state of emergency or permanent residence permit in accordance with Article 25, paragraph 1, paragraphs 6, 7, 8, 13, 16 and Article 25d, as well as in the case of family members of a person under Article 25, paragraph 1, paragraphs 6, 7, 8, 13 and 16 for the duration of the state of emergency declared are not considered to be the absence of a foreigner who has received a permit for a residence permit or permanent residence in the territory of the member states of the European Union for a period of 12 consecutive months;
