The average cost of one decar (0.1 hectares) in the country was 761 BGN, which is 4% more expensive than in 2015. for the decar. An analysis by the National Institute of Statistics of Bulgaria showed that the growth rate of agricultural land prices significantly depended on its intended purpose. For example, land with vegetable plantations has risen in price by 11.3% over the year, planted with grapes – by 9.1%, arable land – by only 1.2%. Permanently sown with grass (Postoyanno zatprevenite ploshchi-bolg.) increased in price most significantly – by 19.4%.
Such a direction of activity as the lease of farmland in Bulgaria also looks promising. In 2016, the average price per 1 dca was BGN 44, which is 4.8% more than in 2015, and the area planted with vegetable crops increased in price by 28.1% over the year, and vineyards only by 13.9%. The most expensive for the tenant was farmland in the North-Eastern region of the country – 64 BGN. for 1 dka. In the period 2015-2016, an increase in prices for renting agricultural space was observed throughout Bulgaria. The only exception was the "South-Central" region, where the price for the specified period decreased by 3.7%.
