This year, the number of mortgage loans issued for the purchase of housing in Bulgaria will increase by 15%, analysts say. And they add that the trend towards an increase in the number of borrowers suggests that the national buyer believed in the end of the crisis and the stabilization of the market.

Today, according to experts, about 60% of all transactions are made with the involvement of a bank loan.  In addition, there has been an increase in the amount that borrowers borrow from Purchase of housing in Bulgaria. On average, it is 94 thousand BGN in the country, in Sofia – 112 thousand BGN. There is another trend – if earlier borrowers took loans in euros, today 98% of loans are issued in the national currency.

Most often, banks issue loans in the amount covering from 80% to 90% of the value of the purchased Bulgarian real estate. The loan term is usually 20-25 years. According to statistics, the most popular properties for a buyer of real estate in Bulgaria are three-room apartments. They are followed by two-room housing.
